About
Sterling Origo Limited was founded on a simple but urgent observation: many of Africa’s most pressing development challenges are not caused by a lack of ideas, technology, or capital, but by a lack of connection between the systems that already exist. Communities have needs, institutions have resources, and markets have solutions, yet these elements often operate in isolation. Sterling Origo was created to bridge this gap.
The company began as a response to this fragmentation, with a focus on designing practical ways to connect people, capital, and implementation partners around shared opportunities. Rather than working within a single sector, Sterling Origo was intentionally built as a catalytic venture platform, capable of operating across clean energy, decent work, and financial inclusion.
In its early development, the company has focused on understanding how real-world systems interact—how energy access can unlock productivity, how financial inclusion enables enterprise growth, and how decent work emerges when ecosystems are properly structured and supported. This systems-thinking approach continues to shape its work.
